"My daughter has been riding regularly at Lomondside for the last 5 months, she had lost confidence after having lessons elsewhere but was keen to start riding again. Liz identified immediately what was needed for her to regain her confidence and has built this up so that she is able to canter on any of the ponies provided and is now starting jumping. The ponies are of a really high standard and very far from the usual riding school plodders.
The excellent one to one tuition has ensured that even with weekly lessons my daughter’s riding and confidence has improved significantly and every lesson is greeted with a big smile. Other riding schools may be marginally cheaper but in reality they are a waste of money if you want your child to be able to ride confidently rather than just sit on a moving horse! "

"Clover is a lovely pony and has the funniest canter. I had forgotten how fun canter was. Clover was so nice. I was on Freddie and first we cantered and then we did some JUMPING. It was sooooooo fun. I did it twice and first it felt like it was so big, but on the second time is was really fun."

"I went to Lomondside Equestrian Centre and never looked back. It's very slightly more expensive but your paying for top notch training. You're completely focused on during your lesson and receive constant instruction, feedback and correction. Here you will learn the right way from the start in everything from handling the horse to riding in a school and riding out. I really cannot praise the instructors high enough. The instruction stays consistent as its the owners who teach you and you will know immediately that you are in the right place. Stables are clean well maintained and has a good indoor school. The hacking out is superb, quiet roads and beautiful forest scenery on a sunny day unbeatable. Having tried the competition whether its hacking out or regular lessons its definitely the best place in the west of Scotland. Try it you'll be hooked."

" I met Liz and Pat 21 years ago when i went for an assessment lesson for BHS Stage 2 training. Liz was with me every step of the way through the training and helped me gain my BHSAI. When i wanted to buy my first horse, it was natural to look at a mare by Liz and Pat's wonderful thoroughbred stallion Shantamar, knowing it would be full of quality and athleticism: they have a fantastic eye for a horse. My mare is amazing and is now a TREC British Champion. I still take her regularly to Lomondside for lessons."

" My daughters have been having riding lessons with Liz at Lomondside (latterly with their own ponies) for 4 yrs. She is a fantastic instructor bringing on their riding in leaps and bounds and they very much enjoy their lessons. Lomondside is an excellently run and organised yard with very well cared for ponies. I would not hesitate and wholeheartedly recommend both Lomondside and Liz and Pat Rennie for superb instruction on great ponies."

" I learnt to ride with Liz and Pat as a child and then returned to Lomondside as an adult for help with my BHS Stage 1 and 2 training. Both Liz and Pat were brilliant. As BHS examiners they were able to ensure i was totally prepared for exam day and i passed with flying colours thanks to them. I can't recommend them highly enough."

"I bought Tana (Lomondside Pandora) from Liz and Pat when she was 5 years old and took her to another livery yard. However after only 8 weeks it was not really working out and I rang Liz to ask if Tana could come back to Lomondside as a livery. Sixteen years later and now with an additional horse we are still liveries at Lomondside! As someone who is slightly OCD about the care of her horses that statement speaks volumes!
Liz and Pat are always on hand for advice and support over any concerns. Liz taught Tana and I throughout our competitive career, from teaching her to jump, then how to jump arrow heads, corners and skinnys for eventing to then concentrate on pure dressage which we successfully competed up to medium level.
A quiet, safe yard where the horses are managed in a strict routine which suits them well, I have never had a moments concern about the safety or wellbeing of my horses in the last 16 years."

"As a child i was amazed by horses. I would sit in a Saturday afternoon watching horse racing on the TV with my dad and i wished that i was the jockey. My limited access to riding would be onboard a coloured pony going along the pleasure beach while on holiday.
As i got older and started working i was able to pay for lessons and this is when i first met Liz and Pat. Their teaching is invaluable and i learned so much about building a relationship with my horse, understanding horse behaviour and good horsemanship. Along with this i was fascinated by Liz's African Horseback Safaris which later inspired me to follow suit.
Since then i have had 2 horses of my own. I was on DIY at a different yard but due to family/work commitments i am now on Full livery at Lomondside Stud. Liz and Pat look after my horses as if they are their own. They openly discuss any concerns they may have about my boys, and their knowledge and experience is second to none. Both are always on hand if you need assistance and are very accommodating if my routine changes and i need to change field, rota etc. There is also an indoor and outdoor arena and you have wonderful hacking in Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
